Privacy Policy

Moneyly ("we", "our", "us") is an offline-first expense tracker for Android. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.
1. Data stored only on your device
By default, everything you create in Moneyly never leaves your phone:
- Transactions, ledgers, categories, budgets, and notes you enter.
- Custom reminders (times and contents) and app settings such as currency and theme.
- These are stored in the app's private on-device storage and are deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
2. Data we collect
Depending on the features you use, the app may collect the following:

3. Data we never collect
- Your precise location, contacts, photos, or files outside the app.
- Bank account numbers, card numbers, or any bank login credentials. Moneyly has no bank sync — every record is typed in by you.
- Microphone, camera, or biometric data.
4. Permissions the app requests
- Internet — cloud backup, feedback submission, ads, and billing.
- Notifications (Android 13+) — only to deliver the custom reminders you create. You can deny it; reminders you create will simply not appear.
- Run at startup — only to re-schedule your reminders after a device reboot. Nothing else runs at startup.
5. How your data is shared
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run the features you use:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics) — account, backup, usage, and stability data, under Google's privacy policy.
- Google AdMob — advertising ID and ad data in the free version, under Google's ads policies.
- Google Play Billing — purchase processing, under Google Play's terms.
- Discord — only the feedback you choose to submit (its content plus device/OS/app/locale details) is posted to our private support channel.
6. Data retention
- On-device data is kept until you delete it, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app.
- Cloud backup data is kept until you request deletion (see below).
- Analytics, crash, and ads data are retained according to Google's provider policies.
- Feedback messages posted to our support channel are kept as support history unless you ask us to remove them.
7. Your rights and data deletion
You may at any time:
- Use the app without an account — all core features work offline.
- Sign out to stop future cloud backups (already uploaded data stays until deleted on request).
- Turn reminders off or delete them at any time in the app.
- Request a copy or deletion of your cloud backup and account data by emailing support.moneylyapp@gmail.com from the signed-in email address. We will confirm and complete verified requests within 30 days.
- Delete everything on the device instantly by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
8. Children
Moneyly is a general-audience finance tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version is always posted on this page with its effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes where appropriate.
